With a 2-2 draw in Seattle on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, San Jose won the Heritage Cup competition for the third straight year (and eighth time total), bringing home the trophy once again for the 50th anniversary season of the club. After winning the first match on March 23 with a score of 3-2 at PayPal Park, the 2-2 tie meant the Quakes won the cup on aggregate goals, with no tiebreaker needed.

Fan representatives from both teams presented the Cup to the Quakes in the locker room after the away game, shown in the photo at right.
